Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

Hi everyone...

How was the Easter weekend?

Today I am reviewing a product which is there with me from almost more than a year....

Its Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation....

I got this from Australia when I was living there...

In Australia it is quiet cold so used to apply this on regular basis...

But when I reached India I have not applied a single time .....

Maybe because I have so many foundations so I forget this one...

Recently I was cleaning my room I saw this product and thought of reviewing it...

Price – AUD 10 - 12 ( it might have reduced by now ...i think )

Net Content – 0.64oz/18g

My shade – Medium 2 Pure Beige

About the Product

·       Nothing is been mentioned on the product about the product.....

My Review

·       It comes in cute glass pot jar
·       It does not come with any brush or mirror
·       Its quiet light I mean the texture is too soft .. you don’t feel anything on skin
·       Its quiet dry for me at least...though I have oily skin I feel this dry on my skin and quiet powdery when applied on face..
·       It need to be blended properly or else it might give a powdery look
·       It gives less to medium coverage
·       It doesn’t have any SPF
·       It is a mousse foundation so no wastage of product like liquid foundation
·       I used to love this foundation for casual daily use but don’t know it looks so powdery here in India when applied on skin
·       Overall ok product for daily use...
·       Can’t recommend for dry skin .. It might make skin more dry for them
·       Good for oily skin gals..
·       It has light smell to it ... which is not bothering me ...

My Ratings

2/5

Will I Repurchase Again?

No...... I have many foundations to finish and in future if Maybelline comes up with something in mousse format I might try it but to dream mousse its no ...

Hope you liked my review

Sunscreen Versus Sunblock

Hi beautiful gals... how are you doing?

Summers have arrived...

I was reading some articles and found one interesting article on the difference between Sunscreen and Sunblock...

So thought of sharing with you gals...

I was also not aware about the difference..

So finally I understood what both means..

Hope this article helps you to differentiate between both...

Sunscreen: Absorbers

What is Sunscreen? According to Cosmetologist and Dermatologist, Dr. Udhay Sidhu from Apollo Hospital, Bangalore, "A sunscreen is also referred to as a chemical sunscreen. It is absorbed into our skin and in return absorbs the UV radiation. It primarily absorbs UVB and only some of UVA. These are cosmetically more acceptable but may cause allergic reactions."

What's in it: Your sunscreen is made up of chemical blockers like oxybenzone, avobenzone, and sulisobenzone.

What not to do: The next time you shop for sun protection, Dr. Sidhu says, "Avoid products with ingredients such as Para- aminobenzoic acid and parabens." These chemicals can cause redness, itchiness and other skin problems.

Sunscreen - Yes or No: Since we Indians are faced with the harsh sun for most of the year, sunscreen may not be the apt option. As the name suggests, sunscreen is a screen and does not block the harmful rays. On the contrary, it absorbs UV rays that have a potential risk for your skin.

Sunblock: Reflectors

What is Sunblock? On the other hand, Dr. Sidhu says this about sunblocks: "They provide protection against both ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays. They act by reflecting UV radiation before it touches the skin. These are also referred to as physical sunscreens. These tend to be greasy and thick on application, but cause very few allergic reactions."

What's in it: The ingredients to look for in your sunblock are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which are physical blockers.

What you need: Dr. Sidhu explains, "Look for products that mention Broad Spectrum (protects against UVA and UVB rays), water resistant sunscreen, with an SPF of at least 15. This should be used all year round on exposed skin. For fair skinned individuals with light colored hair it is preferable to apply sunscreen with a higher SPF."

Sunblock - Yes or No: Since sunscreens are mostly used to screen some part of sunlight while absorbing the rest, they are better suited for tanning or lower sun damage threat. Sunblock seems to be a better option when it comes to sun protection for us Indians. It reduces aging, brown spots, sun burn, skin cancer and wrinkles.

I hope this articles helps you...

Lotus Herbals Sunscreen Gel SPF 20 (Oily To normal Skin)

Hi all..... How’s the Good Friday going?

After a long time I am writing something....

Anyways Today I am going to review one more product from Lotus Herbals.....

I have many products from Lotus Herbals......I quiet like their products...they are good...

This is a sunscreen gel not a lotion.... I thought of trying this ... As I have never tried sunscreen in gel

I got this sunscreen from Health & Glow Shop... The SA assured me it’s really good for oily skin... So I got it to try...

I am already using Lotus Herbals 3 in 1 Matte Look Daily Sun block with SPF 40 which I quiet like it...

Price – Rs 195

Net Quantity – 100gm

About the Product
·       It says Full Spectrum Sun Protection, Oil free Gel
·       It Contains Babchi seed extract
·       Also contains Phenyl Benzimidazole Sulfonic Acid...only water soluble sunscreen agent to provide synergistic protection against ultra violet rays
·       Lightens the complexion
·       Retards ageing process

My Review
·       It comes in nice plastic bottle with pump..You can see through the bottle how much quantity is left in the bottle...
·       When you pump the gel its little sticky...
·       When you apply it on skin it gives thick feel of the gel...
·       And I felt heavy on my skin while applying..
·       But after few seconds it gets absorbed in the skin..
·       If you don’t massage it well on face.. It gives orangish colour on face...
·       It has flowery smell to it ..
·       Skin doesn’t looks oily or shiny after few minutes...
·       I am not happy with the product as my skin gets oily after few hours...
·       It is good for dry skin or normal skin people... My skin is oily and after few hours you can see oily shine on your face...
·       Overall it’s a good product for those with dry and normal skin and who are looking for something in gel format...

My Ratings

3/5..... Because it didn’t give me what I wanted from it......

Will I repurchase Again?

No.... I am happy with 3 in 1 Matt ....so I would purchase that not this one...
